Wilcox County Courthouse Historic Renovation, HVAC Design and Commissioning

Location: Abbeville, Georgia Dates: September 2014 - January 2016 Description: The Wilcox County courthouse is a 20,000 ft² four-story historic government building in Abbeville, Georgia. The courthouse was originally constructed in 1903 and underwent its only previous major renovation in 1980. The Wilcox County Board of Commissioners is currently pursuing a phased renovation of the courthouse. The phased renovation began in 2013 with repair, sealing, and replacement of deteriorated elements of the dome, roof, and façade of the building. Services Performed: ACx began its involvement with the courthouse renovation with the HVAC renovation project. The HVAC renovation portion began in 2014. Personnel from ACx are responsible for the design, construction administration, and commissioning of the system.
