June 2024 - October 2025
The Phase 1 renovation of Building #1013 supports comprehensive renewal efforts within the ca. 1959 former Poultry Science Building, now known as Building #1013. The north wing was renovated for research programs in Integrative Precision Agriculture, and the south wing was renovated as an instructional hub. Building system replacements and code-oriented upgrades have advanced reuse of this mid-century science facility for these renovated purposes. Phase 1 renovated an initial and approximate 14,000 square foot ground floor portion of the south wing which is part of the larger 65,000 square foot building. Core mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems renewal and upgrades to life safety and accessibility related building deficiencies were primary scope components of the first phase.
